Arsenal youngster, Dowman breaks Lamine Yamal’s Champions League record

Arsenal youngster Max Dowman made history on Tuesday night after becoming the youngest player to appear in the UEFA Champions League knockout stage.

The teenage talent broke a record that was previously held by Lamine Yamal of Barcelona.

Yamal had set the record in February 2024 when he played against Napoli at the age of 16 years and 223 days.

Dowman, however, surpassed that milestone at just 16 years and 97 days old after being brought on by Mikel Arteta during Arsenal’s quarter-final clash against Sporting CP.

The young player has been enjoying an impressive season, showing his ability to play both in midfield and on the wings while breaking several records.

Just last month, he scored a brilliant solo goal in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Everton, making him the youngest player ever to score in the Premier League.
