Popular activist Aisha Yesufu has said she will stand against Peter Obi if he becomes president and later decides to stay in office for more than one term.

She made this statement during an interview on television, where she spoke about the importance of leaders keeping their promises.

Yesufu explained that Obi had already promised to serve only one term, and she believes he must keep that promise if given the opportunity to lead the country.

According to her, Obi had been making this one-term promise even before the 2023 election, not just after it.

She further revealed that she personally asked him to confirm the promise again, and he assured her that he still stands by it.

Yesufu said she took the issue seriously because she publicly supported him based on that promise and values her reputation.

She added that if Obi eventually changes his mind and seeks a second term, she would strongly oppose him, although she believes he is someone who keeps his word.
