Rebecca King-Crews, the wife of Terry Crews, has opened up about her experience living with Parkinson’s disease.
The 60-year-old shared her story during an interview on the Today Show, revealing that she has been living with the condition for about 11 years.
She explained that the early symptoms started around 2012 when she noticed numbness in her foot, which later caused her to walk with a limp.
Rebecca said it took a long time before doctors gave her the correct diagnosis, as some early signs like shaking were not taken seriously at first.
Parkinson’s disease is a condition that affects the brain and movement, often leading to shaking, stiffness, and tiredness over time.
Despite the difficulties, she shared some good news about her health after undergoing a recent non-surgical treatment that uses sound waves on the brain.
She happily revealed that she now feels better and can write again, something she had not been able to do for about three years.
Her husband, Terry Crews, also spoke about supporting her through the journey, saying their marriage has helped them face the challenge together.
The couple has been married since 1989 and have five children together.
Rebecca had earlier faced another serious health challenge when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020 and had surgery to remove both breasts.
Many people online have shown support for her, praising her courage and honesty in sharing her health journey.
