Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has said he is among the most criticised politicians in the country, second only to Bola Tinubu.

He made this known while speaking with journalists, explaining that despite the criticism, he remains focused on doing his job.

Wike said many people complain about paying taxes, even though government needs the money to provide basic services like roads and electricity. He added that Nigerians often expect these services without wanting to contribute through taxes.

The minister also explained that the FCT receives just 1% of the total revenue from the Federal Government, noting that such an amount is too small to handle major responsibilities like paying salaries.
