David Umahi has advised leaders and stakeholders from the South-East to adopt a more strategic approach if the region hopes to produce Nigeria’s president. He stressed the need for unity and careful political planning.

According to Umahi, the quest for the presidency requires collaboration across regions. He noted that building alliances beyond the South-East is key to gaining national support.

He explained that politics in Nigeria goes beyond regional sentiments. To succeed, he said, the South-East must engage in inclusive politics and strengthen relationships with other parts of the country.

Umahi also emphasized the importance of internal unity within the region. He warned that division among political actors could weaken their chances of achieving the presidency.
