The Executive Director of Finance and Administration at the Niger Delta Development Commission, Boma Iyaye, has denied reports that he plans to run for governor of Rivers State.

He described the claims as false and said they were spread on social media without any basis.

Iyaye also dismissed rumours that he has the backing of Nyesom Wike for the 2027 governorship race.

He stated that his focus remains on his current role at the NDDC, where he is working on development projects in the Niger Delta.

Iyaye emphasized that he has not declared any political ambition and is not pursuing a governorship bid.

He urged the public and media to verify information before sharing and avoid spreading false reports.
