Yusuf Tuggar has reportedly resigned as Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs in the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The announcement was confirmed by former presidential aide Bashir Ahmad, who shared the update on social media.

Reports indicate that Tuggar stepped down to focus on his political ambition to contest the Bauchi State governorship election in 2027.

His resignation comes shortly before the deadline set by the president for appointees seeking elective offices to leave their positions.
