Kano CP highlights community policing success ahead of 2026 Police Day

The Nigeria Police Force in Kano State has recorded success in reducing crime through community policing, according to Commissioner of Police Adamu Bakori.

Bakori shared this while announcing activities for the 2026 Police Day celebration, which will focus on public safety and stronger ties with residents.

He said community cooperation has played a major role in helping the police tackle criminal activities across the state.

This year’s theme, “Community Partnership: Building Trust,” highlights efforts to improve relationships between officers and the public.

The event will include outreach programmes, sanitation exercises, and engagement with students to promote unity and awareness.

Bakori assured residents of continued commitment to peace and security, urging citizens to actively support the police in fighting crime.
