The African Democratic Congress in Benue State has inaugurated a new State Elders Council to guide and support party activities.
The council was unveiled during a stakeholders’ meeting where party members were updated on ongoing congress plans and national developments.
Party leader Emmanuel Yisa Orker-Jev praised the leadership team for strengthening the party and urged members to remain committed.
He described the ADC as a growing political force and encouraged members to stay focused ahead of future elections.
Other party leaders also shared updates, noting that positions will be contested at different levels as part of the congress process.
The newly formed Elders Council, made up of representatives from all 23 local government areas, is expected to provide guidance and support to the party’s leadership.
