The leadership of David Umahi Federal University of Health Sciences has dismissed rumours of a crisis within the institution. Officials described the reports as false and intended to mislead the public.

The Pro-Chancellor, Adebayo Shittu, stated clearly that there is no disagreement between the Governing Council and the university management. He said the school remains stable and focused on its academic goals.

According to him, claims that he has been sidelined in decision-making are untrue. He emphasized that he maintains a strong working relationship with all members of the institution’s leadership.

Shittu added that his long experience in public service makes it unlikely for him to be excluded from key activities. He insisted that everything within the university is functioning smoothly.

He also called on journalists and the public to ignore the negative reports. He suggested that such stories were created by individuals trying to cause unnecessary tension.

The university leadership reassured stakeholders that the institution is progressing well and remains committed to delivering quality education without internal conflict.
