Iran’s military rejects Trump’s negotiation claims as Israel, Iran exchange airstrikes

Iran’s military has rejected claims by Donald Trump that negotiations are underway, describing the statements as misleading amid rising conflict.

Officials in Tehran insisted there are no ongoing talks with the United States, with a spokesperson mocking Washington by saying it was “negotiating with itself.”

The denial comes as tensions between Iran and Israel continue to escalate, with both sides exchanging airstrikes targeting key military and strategic locations.

Despite Trump’s claims that progress is being made toward a possible deal, Iranian authorities have maintained that no formal discussions have taken place.

Reports also suggest that recent peace proposals have failed to gain traction, with Iran expressing deep mistrust over US intentions and demanding stronger guarantees before any dialogue.

The ongoing clashes highlight growing instability in the region, as diplomatic efforts struggle to keep pace with intensifying military actions and rising global concerns.
