Wike Responds to Governor Fubara’s meeting with Edwin Clark and Petition Over Rivers State Political Crisis

Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, has issued a response to Chief Edwin Clark’s recent petition regarding the political turmoil in Rivers State. Clark, an influential Ijaw leader, has called for punitive action against Wike due to the ongoing issues in the state.

Wike, who was the Governor of Rivers State before becoming the FCT Minister, defended his actions by stating that he did not blame anyone else for the challenges he faced during his governorship. He emphasized that he handled the crisis independently.

In his response, Wike also took aim at the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT), accusing them of lacking neutrality in their role. He specifically criticized former Senate President Adolphus Wabara, suggesting that the BoT’s stance has been biased.

Wike’s comments reflect his ongoing frustration with the political situation and the roles played by various figures and institutions in addressing the issues in Rivers State.
