The Vice President spoke while welcoming Bello Matawalle Lawal into the All Progressives Congress. The defection is seen as a major boost for the ruling party in the state.
He noted that unity among political leaders is important in tackling national challenges. Shettima added that collaboration across party lines would help improve governance and security in affected regions.
Observers believe that the defection could reshape the political landscape in Zamfara ahead of future elections. It also reflects ongoing realignments within Nigeria’s political space.
