US Could ‘take Out’ Iran’s Kharg Island Any Time – White House

The United States has warned that it could strike Kharg Island at any moment, as tensions with Iran continue to rise over the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

The statement from the White House came after reports suggested that Donald Trump is considering options to either seize or block the island to pressure Iran into reopening the vital Strait of Hormuz.

Officials described Kharg Island as a critical location, handling most of Iran’s crude oil exports. Any disruption there could significantly impact global oil supply and prices.

White House spokesperson Anna Kelly said the US military is fully prepared and capable of acting swiftly if given the order by the president.

She added that the administration had already taken steps to counter Iran’s actions, including targeting vessels believed to be involved in blocking maritime routes.

The growing tension has already affected global energy markets, as the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz continues to disrupt shipping and push oil prices higher worldwide.
