A group known as Lagos State Prominent Indigenes has urged the All Progressives Congress to reserve the 2027 governorship ticket for qualified indigenous candidates.

The group made this demand during a recent meeting, stressing the need for fairness, inclusion, and proper representation of Lagos indigenes in leadership positions.

They also expressed support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, backing his potential re-election bid while calling for more local participation in state governance.

According to the communiqué signed by Adesunbo Onitiri, candidates must have proven Lagos ancestry, strong education, and leadership experience.

The group added that integrity is key, insisting that aspirants must have clean records, good character, and a clear vision for development in Lagos State.

They further stated their willingness to engage with potential candidates to ensure that the best individuals emerge to lead the state in the future.
