Bayer Leverkusen manager, Kasper Hjulmand, has identified Arsenal and Bayern Munich as the leading contenders to win this season’s UEFA Champions League. He made this known after his team’s defeat to Arsenal in the Round of 16 second leg.

Arsenal secured a 2-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium, advancing to the quarter-finals where they will face Sporting CP. Their strong domestic and European performances have made them one of the standout teams this season.

Hjulmand praised Arsenal’s consistency, noting their impressive goal-scoring record and solid defence in the Premier League as key reasons they could go all the way in the competition.

However, he also pointed out Bayern Munich’s strength, describing them as a different but equally dangerous side, making the title race a close contest between both clubs.
