Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has ordered all service chiefs to relocate to Maiduguri following a rise in terrorist attacks in the state. The directive comes after recent deadly incidents that have caused panic among residents.
In a statement released on March 17, the President expressed sympathy with the people of Borno State over the attacks. He reassured citizens that the military remains committed and is making progress in tackling insurgency.
Tinubu also revealed that he had earlier approved additional equipment and operational support for security agencies during a recent high-level meeting. According to him, these efforts are already being implemented to strengthen operations on the ground.
The President further instructed emergency response agencies to provide proper medical care for those injured. The move is aimed at restoring calm and ensuring that security forces respond swiftly to ongoing threats in the region.
