Iran warns UAE residents to leave areas near major ports in Abu Dhabi and Dubai

Iran has issued an urgent warning telling people living and working near key port areas in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to leave those locations immediately due to rising tensions in the region. The warning specifically mentions areas around Jebel Ali Port in Dubai, Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi, and the Port of Fujairah, where recent military activity linked to the broader Middle East conflict has raised safety concerns for civilians.

Iran’s semiofficial media and security sources circulated the evacuation notice, saying residents and workers should move away from major port facilities that could potentially be targeted amid ongoing hostilities involving Tehran, the United States, and Israel.

The warning comes after incidents involving drone and missile activity near Fujairah’s oil infrastructure, which briefly disrupted operations at the port before some trading activities resumed.

Although the UAE has robust air defence systems and no official evacuation order has been issued by Emirati authorities, the Iranian notice reflects how regional tensions are increasing concerns for safety around vital economic and shipping hubs in the Gulf.
