Several members of the Peoples Democratic Party caretaker committee in Taraba State have rejected a list of the newly elected state executive committee reportedly released by Victor Fallack. The group said the list circulating online was produced without their knowledge or approval.
In a joint statement on Sunday, eight committee members said they were surprised to see their names included in the document. They insisted that the alleged list was compiled without consultation and does not represent the position of the caretaker committee.
The members stressed that the former chairman acted on his own without involving other committee members. They said they were making their position clear in order to prevent confusion among party supporters and maintain stability within the party structure.
They also praised party delegates for conducting themselves peacefully during the recent ward, local government, and state congresses. The members urged party supporters to remain calm while leaders continue efforts to strengthen unity within the party in Taraba State.
