Putin’s ‘elite hit squad’ dubbed Center 795 is ‘exposed by Google Translate blunder after using site to talk to hitman’

A Russian intelligence operative has been detained following an investigation that reportedly exposed a secret assassination network linked to the Kremlin. The suspect, Denis Alimov, was arrested at El Dorado International Airport after authorities connected him to a covert group known as Centre 795.

Investigators believe the secret unit was formed during the early months of the war in Ukraine and reportedly involves operatives from Russia’s military intelligence service, the GRU, and the Federal Security Service. The group is believed to carry out sensitive missions, including intelligence coordination and covert operations abroad.

Authorities say the investigation gained momentum after a communication error revealed key messages. One of the operatives allegedly used Google Translate while communicating with a suspected contract killer, allowing investigators to trace the messages through U.S.-based servers.

Prosecutors claim the suspected operation targeted dissidents linked to Russia, with large financial rewards offered for capturing or eliminating them. Alimov is currently being held in Bogotá while legal proceedings continue over his possible extradition to the United States.
