The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has dismissed reports claiming that Ireti Kingibe, the senator representing the Federal Capital Territory, has been suspended from the party. The party described the circulating claims as false and misleading.

In a statement on Thursday, the ADC National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, said the party is not aware of any decision to suspend the senator. He urged the public and the media to ignore the reports spreading on various platforms.

Abdullahi explained that the party follows clear constitutional procedures when dealing with issues concerning its members. According to him, any allegations involving party members are handled internally and not through public statements.

The ADC therefore called on Nigerians and media organizations to disregard the suspension rumors. The party maintained that Senator Kingibe remains a member and representative of the party in the Senate.
