The Godswill Akpabio has criticized opposition parties ahead of the 2027 general elections, describing them as confused and unprepared. He said the ruling All Progressives Congress is already mobilising support across the country.

Akpabio made the remarks in Uyo during a reception organised for Nigeria’s First Lady Oluremi Tinubu. The event also included the unveiling of a Senior Citizens Centre named in her honour.

Speaking at the gathering, the Senate President praised the unity among the people of Akwa Ibom and expressed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to seek a second term in office.

He added that while the APC continues consultations and preparations for the next election, opposition parties are still struggling to organise themselves ahead of the official campaign period set by Independent National Electoral Commission.
