Residents of Braamfischerville were left shocked after armed robbers attacked a cash-in-transit van in broad daylight. CCTV footage shows several suspects surrounding the armored vehicle within seconds before carrying out the robbery.

The attackers reportedly used explosives to blast open the cash compartment, causing a loud explosion that sent smoke and debris into the air. Bags of money and loose banknotes spilled onto the road as the suspects quickly began collecting the cash.

Some residents were seen moving toward the scene after noticing the money scattered on the ground. However, the robbers fired warning shots into the air, forcing people to run back for safety while they continued gathering the cash.

The suspects later fled in several vehicles, including a silver-grey Volvo and a brown BMW X5. The South African Police Service confirmed that an investigation is underway and a manhunt has been launched to track down the attackers.
