Iran says launched ‘massive’ drone strikes at Israel, US bases

Iran’s military has claimed responsibility for a large wave of drone attacks targeting Israel and several United States military bases in the Middle East. According to statements reported by the state news agency Islamic Republic News Agency, the strikes were carried out by the Iranian navy.

The attacks reportedly targeted facilities in the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait, including the Al-Minhad and Al-Dhafra air bases, as well as what Iran described as a strategic location in Israel.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the operation targeted communication systems, radar equipment, and other military infrastructure at the bases.

The conflict intensified after the United States and Israel carried out airstrikes inside Iran on February 28, which reportedly killed Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Since then, Iran has responded with several drone and missile strikes across the region.
