Iran denies attacking US embassy in Saudi Arabia

Iran has rejected allegations that it launched a drone attack on the United States embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Iran’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Alireza Enayati, said Tehran had no involvement in the reported incident that allegedly caused a fire within the embassy compound.

Saudi authorities had earlier accused Iran of targeting the diplomatic facility with drones. However, Enayati insisted that the Iranian government was not responsible for the attack, adding that Tehran would openly admit any military operation carried out by its forces.

Tensions across the Middle East have continued to rise following retaliatory actions linked to recent strikes involving Iran, the United States and Israel. Reports say several people have died in different Gulf countries since Iran began attacks in response to the escalating conflict.

Despite the situation, Iran maintained that it is not trying to expand the crisis into a wider regional war. The ambassador also appreciated Saudi Arabia’s position that its territory, airspace and waters would not be used for attacks against Iran.
