Karamo Yesiro, the newly elected Assistant Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State, has died just hours before his official inauguration. Yesiro was elected during the party’s state congress held earlier in the week, alongside other members of the state executive council.

His inauguration was scheduled to take place on Thursday at the party’s secretariat in Lagos. The event was expected to formally present the newly elected executives led by state chairman Cornelius Ojelabi. However, the ceremony was overshadowed by the sudden news of Yesiro’s death.

Confirming the development, Lagos APC Publicity Secretary Seye Oladejo described the incident as a painful and shocking loss for the party. According to him, Yesiro was known for his dedication, loyalty and commitment to the party’s progressive ideals.

Party members and supporters have continued to express sadness over the tragedy. APC leaders said that although his time in the position was cut short, Yesiro’s passion for service and his contributions to the party in Lagos State will be remembered.
