The United Nations’ nuclear agency, IAEA, has confirmed that Iran’s Natanz Fuel Enrichment Plant sustained damage following US and Israeli military strikes. Satellite imagery showed impacts on entrance buildings and nearby structures at the facility.
IAEA emphasized that there were no radiological effects and no damage to the core areas of the nuclear site. This is the first official acknowledgment of physical impact since the attacks began.
Earlier, IAEA Director-General Rafael Grossi had reported “no indication” that Iran’s nuclear installations were hit, making this confirmation significant. Satellite analysis from intelligence sources highlighted damage to a warehouse and two smaller two-story buildings.
The confirmation underscores growing concerns over escalating regional tensions, though the agency stresses that Iran’s main nuclear operations remain unaffected.
