US de@th toll in Iran war rises to 6 as Tehran continues barrage of revenge attacks

The U.S. military has confirmed that the death toll of American service members in the Iran conflict has risen to six, following weekend attacks by U.S. and Israeli forces. Two previously unaccounted-for service members were recovered after Iranian retaliation, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on X.

Iran responded to the strikes by launching missiles and drones across the Gulf, targeting U.S. bases and sites in Israel, the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Jordan, escalating tensions across the region. Major combat operations are ongoing, with the identities of the fallen withheld pending next-of-kin notification.

In Kuwait, three U.S. F-15E fighter jets were accidentally shot down by the country’s air defenses during incoming Iranian attacks. All six crew members ejected safely, were recovered, and are reported to be in stable condition, CENTCOM confirmed.

The attacks followed U.S.-Israeli strikes in Iran that killed several senior officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The situation highlights growing regional instability and raises concerns over further escalation.
