Governors Agbu Kefas of Taraba and Hyacinth Alia of Benue met to address insecurity in southern Taraba, assuring displaced residents of enhanced security, immediate relief, and sustained government support for safe returns.

The high-level peace meeting in Wukari involved security officials, traditional rulers, and government representatives from both states to find lasting solutions to the ongoing border crisis.

Governor Alia highlighted the importance of collaboration with Taraba authorities and traditional institutions, stressing that enduring peace requires collective effort and mutual understanding.

Governor Kefas reiterated his administration’s commitment to calm and security, while both leaders visited IDP camps in Abako and Chanchanji to ensure relief and protection for displaced residents.
