Iran’s top security official, Ali Larijani, has stated that the country is prepared for a long war following recent US and Israeli strikes. He made the declaration as tensions continue to rise across the Middle East.
In a message shared on social media, Larijani said Iran had long expected a possible extended confrontation. He emphasized that the nation would defend its sovereignty at all costs.
He also warned that those responsible for the attacks would regret their actions, describing the military strikes as a serious miscalculation.
The statement follows a large-scale operation by the United States and Israel that reportedly killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, deepening fears of wider regional instability.
