The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has declared that Senator Ireti Kingibe will not return to represent the FCT in the Senate. He said her performance in office has not met expectations and insisted voters would judge her record.
Speaking during a media chat in Abuja, Wike stood firmly by his statement. He challenged the senator’s achievements, saying her “report card” would determine her political future.
The minister also dismissed claims that she had tried to contact him. According to him, effective leadership should be measured by visible impact, especially in communities and satellite towns.
Wike emphasized that collaboration in governance must be based on results, not personal relationships. He added that public officials must deliver tangible development to earn another term in office.
