The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that senior members of Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence were eliminated during a military operation. Among those named were Sayed Yahya Hamidi, described as Deputy Minister for “Israel Affairs,” and Jalal Pour Hossein, head of the Espionage Division.

In a statement on X, the IDF said the operation, code-named “Roaring Lion,” was based on precise intelligence. It alleged that Hamidi led activities targeting Jews, Western interests, and opponents of the Iranian government.

The Israeli military also confirmed that its air force struck the headquarters of Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence in Tehran during the early phase of the operation.

The development follows large-scale US and Israeli strikes on Iranian targets in recent days, further escalating tensions across the Middle East.
