APC chieftain Adamu Garba says Gulf countries including Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Qatar made a costly bargain by backing the US-Israel strikes on Iran. He warned that Iranian drone attacks have set Saudi Arabia’s Ras Tanura oil refinery and UAE desalination plants ablaze.
Garba added that the region is now engulfed in crisis, stating, “The entire Gulf is on fire,” while criticizing the US for focusing primarily on protecting Israel against Hezbollah.
The APC figure suggested Gulf nations underestimated Iran’s retaliatory capacity, which has caused major destruction to critical oil and water infrastructure, worsening regional instability.
The remarks follow the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in the US-Israel strikes, an operation that also reportedly killed members of his family, intensifying tensions in the Middle East.
