Lamine Yamal nets first career hat-trick as Barcelona thrash Villarreal 4-1

Lamine Yamal delivered a stunning performance as Barcelona defeated Villarreal 4-1 in a La Liga clash at Spotify Camp Nou. The 18-year-old winger opened the scoring in the 28th minute after a sharp assist from Fermín López, calmly placing the ball into the bottom corner.

He doubled Barcelona’s advantage nine minutes later with a brilliant solo effort, beating two defenders before firing into the top corner. Villarreal responded early in the second half through Pape Gueye, who reduced the deficit in the 49th minute.

Yamal completed his first senior career hat-trick in the 69th minute, finishing neatly after a fine through pass from Pedri. Substitute Robert Lewandowski added a fourth goal in stoppage time to seal an emphatic victory for the Catalan giants.

The treble made Yamal the youngest player to score a La Liga hat-trick in the 21st century. The win also moved Barcelona four points clear of rivals Real Madrid at the top of the table.
