A 67-year-old retired teacher, Mr Abel Atilola, was killed by unknown assailants near his farm in Irawo, Tede, ATISBO local government area of Oyo State. The attack occurred on Monday while he was working on his farm.

Authorities confirmed that the incident has been reported to the police, and an investigation has begun to identify the perpetrators. The motive behind the killing remains unclear.

Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, stated that the probe is ongoing and urged anyone with information to come forward. Residents expressed shock over the sudden and violent loss.
