Hundreds of protesters under the Nasiriya Movement marched through Kaduna in support of the ongoing investigation of former governor Nasir El-Rufai. They carried placards thanking the EFCC and ICPC for probing his administration.

The group alleged that over ₦432 billion was misappropriated during El-Rufai’s tenure and called on anti-graft agencies to ensure a thorough and transparent investigation. They insisted that public funds must be recovered if any wrongdoing is confirmed.

Speaking for the protesters, their leader said justice must take its full course without interference. Some members also claimed that many workers were dismissed without benefits, leading to hardship for affected families.

The demonstrators vowed to continue their protests until they are satisfied with the outcome of the probe. They described the investigation as a step toward accountability and stronger governance in Kaduna State.
