Governor Alex Otti is set to commission the reclaimed Ovom Street in Aba and flag off the reconstruction of Enyimba International Hotel. The announcement was made by Uche Ukeje, Director General of the Greater Aba Development Authority (GADA).

Ukeje explained that Ovom Street was once severely damaged by a 42-metre-deep gully before it was reclaimed and rebuilt. He described the transformation as a major engineering breakthrough under the current administration.

According to him, the road project represents a turning point in Aba’s infrastructure renewal. He noted that the reconstruction was carried out under GADA’s supervision to restore safe access and improve connectivity.

The governor will also perform the groundbreaking ceremony for the Enyimba Hotel reconstruction, marking another step in efforts to revive key facilities and boost economic activity in Aba and Abia State at large.
