Christian genocide: US lawmaker presents report to Trump

A United States congressional delegation has submitted a report on alleged persecution of Christians in Nigeria to President Donald Trump. Congressman Riley M. Moore shared the update on social media, saying the findings had been presented at the White House after their fact-finding visit.

The lawmakers had earlier traveled to Nigeria to investigate claims of targeted violence against Christian communities. During the visit, they met with Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, in Abuja to discuss security challenges and possible solutions.

Despite the Nigerian government’s reservations about the genocide claims, members of the delegation maintained that attacks on Christians required urgent global attention. They stressed the need for stronger measures to address insecurity and protect vulnerable communities.

The development has drawn renewed international focus on Nigeria’s security situation. Observers say the submission of the report to U.S. authorities could influence diplomatic discussions and future policy considerations between both countries.
