A former Papaya employee has accused a Lagos Police officer of assault, claiming she was hit on her face and chest with a gun during an alleged incident.
The victim stated that the assault occurred while she was at work, describing the attack as both painful and terrifying. She has called on authorities to investigate the matter thoroughly and ensure justice.
She urged the Lagos State Police Command to hold the officer accountable, stressing that such behaviour undermines public trust and the safety of civilians.
The case has drawn attention to alleged misconduct by some police personnel, with calls from human rights advocates for strict enforcement of accountability measures.
