Nigerian troops arrest Boko Haram drone supplier, neutralise top commander

Nigerian troops of Operation HADIN KAI, working with local vigilantes and hunters, have neutralised Abdullahi Mafa, a former hybrid Boko Haram commander in Madagali, Zamfara State. The operation occurred along the Visik River line during an ambush against suspected terrorists.

In a separate raid at Madagali Motor Park, troops arrested Dauda Usman Gubula, a suspected Boko Haram drone and logistics supplier. Security officials recovered two aerial drones and 20 solar power banks from him.

The arrested suspect is currently in custody and undergoing investigation, as the military continues efforts to dismantle Boko Haram networks in the region. Authorities confirmed that the operations are part of ongoing efforts to restore peace and security.

Officials praised the collaboration between troops and local vigilantes, urging communities to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to support counter-terrorism efforts.
