Gunmen Kidnap Over 20 Medical and Dental Students in Benue State

In a shocking incident, over 20 medical and dental students from the University of Maiduguri and University of Jos have been kidnapped by gunmen in Benue State. The students were on their way to the annual convention of the Federation of Catholic Medical and Dental Students (FECAMDS) in Enugu when they were ambushed.

The attack took place around 5:30 p.m. as the students were traveling through the Otukpo area of the state. A House Officer was also among those abducted. The Benue State Police Command has confirmed the kidnapping, with spokesperson SP Catherine Anene stating that the report was received between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. and that investigations are already underway to find the victims.
