The Federal Government has announced that the National Fire Academy project has reached 65 percent completion. The update was given by the Minister, who explained that the facility is expected to improve training standards and strengthen emergency response services across the country. The academy is designed to serve as a central hub for professional development in fire prevention and disaster management.
According to the Minister, the project is part of ongoing efforts to modernise the nation’s fire service and equip personnel with up-to-date skills and equipment. When completed, the academy will provide structured training programmes for firefighters and other emergency responders, helping them handle fire outbreaks and related emergencies more effectively.
The government also noted that the academy will support research, simulations, and practical exercises aimed at improving safety standards nationwide. By investing in infrastructure and training, authorities hope to reduce fire-related incidents and enhance public safety awareness in communities.
Officials expressed confidence that the remaining work will be completed on schedule. The project reflects the administration’s commitment to strengthening emergency services and building institutions that can respond swiftly to disasters while protecting lives and property.
