South African authorities have arrested a female suspect in connection with the murder of 22-year-old Nigerian student, Isaac Satlat, who was killed in Moshongo Province, Pretoria. Isaac, the son of a Nigerian Christian missionary, reportedly ran an e-hailing business using his father’s car and was kidnapped during a ride on February 11, 2026.
Preliminary investigations revealed that both a male and female suspect hijacked the vehicle during the trip, leading to Isaac’s death. His body was recovered two days later, prompting a full-scale investigation by the Gauteng Police Command.
Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni, Provincial Commissioner of Police, has assigned a senior detective to probe the case thoroughly and ensure all involved are arrested and prosecuted. The female suspect is set to appear in Atteridgeville Magistrate’s Court on February 16, 2026, facing charges including hijacking and murder.
Authorities continue to search for the male accomplice, urging the public to provide any information that could assist in his capture. Police have called on anyone with tips to contact the nearest station or CrimeStop to help bring the suspect to justice.
