How NSA, Kaduna Gov met, decided my abduction – El-Rufai

Former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has claimed that his abduction was planned during a meeting between the National Security Adviser (NSA) and the current Kaduna State Governor. He alleged that key decisions regarding his attempted detention were discussed and agreed upon during the meeting.

Speaking through his legal representatives, El-Rufai said the meeting involved senior security officers and was aimed at orchestrating actions against him outside the framework of due process. He described the incident as a violation of his constitutional rights.

The former governor’s lawyers have called for accountability and urged authorities to ensure that any illegal actions taken against him are investigated thoroughly. They insist that no public official should have unchecked power to detain a citizen.

Legal analysts say El-Rufai’s claims, if proven, could raise serious questions about abuse of state authority and highlight the importance of adherence to constitutional safeguards. Meanwhile, calls for transparency and independent investigation are growing among civil society groups.
