NNPP urges Presidency, NSA to clear Kwankwaso of terrorism allegations

The Kano State chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has called on the Presidency and the Office of the National Security Adviser to publicly clear its National Leader, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, of alleged links to terrorism. The appeal was made in a statement issued by the party’s state Publicity Secretary, Ibrahim Karaye.

According to the NNPP, the Federal Government should urgently address what it described as unverified accusations against Kwankwaso. The party maintained that its leader is a patriotic Nigerian known for his contributions to education and human capital development. It stressed that such allegations could damage both his reputation and the country’s image if not clarified quickly.

The party also cautioned against turning security issues into political tools. It warned that national security matters should not be politicised, urging citizens to reject any attempt to use such claims for partisan gain. The NNPP further appealed to the United States not to take any action based on what it called unconfirmed accusations.

In its statement, the party argued that swift clarification from the Presidency and the NSA would prevent unnecessary controversy and protect national credibility. The NNPP concluded by reaffirming its support for Kwankwaso and insisting that due process and transparency must guide all security-related matters.
