The Commissioner of Police in Osun State has charged newly promoted officers to see their elevation as a call to greater responsibility and dedication to duty. He encouraged them to uphold professionalism and remain committed to protecting lives and property across the state.
Speaking during a brief ceremony, the police chief reminded the officers that promotion comes with higher expectations from both the force and the public. He stressed the need for discipline, integrity, and respect for human rights in the discharge of their duties.
The commissioner noted that effective policing depends on teamwork, intelligence gathering, and positive engagement with communities. He urged the officers to work closely with their colleagues and residents to strengthen security and maintain public trust.
He also warned against misconduct, saying the command would not tolerate actions that could damage the image of the police force. The CP congratulated the officers on their promotions and expressed confidence that they would justify the trust placed in them.
