British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said on Tuesday that he would not abandon the mandate entrusted to him, as pressure grows over his leadership following the appointment of former U.S. ambassador Peter Mandelson.
“I will not turn my back on the mandate I was given to transform this country,” Starmer said. “I will not turn my back on the people I am duty-bound to stand up for, nor on the country I love.”
