2027: E-registration shows Nigerians’ confidence in APC – Seye Oladejo

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) says the ongoing electronic membership registration exercise reflects growing public confidence in the party ahead of the 2027 general elections. According to the party, the strong participation recorded across different areas shows that Nigerians are embracing the APC and its leadership direction.

Speaking on the exercise, the party’s spokesperson in Lagos, Seye Oladejo, described the e-registration as a major step toward strengthening internal democracy and grassroots involvement. He said the smooth adoption of the digital platform and the large turnout signal renewed trust in the party’s values, not just in Lagos but across the country.

Oladejo explained that the exercise has helped the APC build a transparent and reliable membership database, covering wards, local governments, and constituencies nationwide. He added that the process gives both old and new members equal opportunities to formally register, making them eligible to participate fully in party activities in line with its constitution.

He also praised the requirement for registrants to present valid Permanent Voter Cards and National Identification Numbers, noting that it helped prevent manipulation and fake registrations. According to him, registering over ten million members nationwide highlights the APC’s strong grassroots presence, organisational capacity, and widespread acceptance among Nigerians.
