Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has commissioned a newly completed cottage hospital as part of his administration’s effort to improve access to healthcare services across the state. The facility was built to bring quality medical care closer to residents, especially people living in rural and underserved communities.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Governor Fintiri said the hospital reflects his government’s commitment to strengthening the health sector and reducing the pressure on major hospitals in the state. He explained that the cottage hospital will provide basic medical services, maternal care, and emergency treatment for residents within the host community and nearby areas.

The governor noted that improving healthcare delivery remains a key priority of his administration, adding that similar projects are being carried out across Adamawa to ensure equitable development. He urged health workers posted to the facility to show professionalism and compassion in the discharge of their duties.

Community leaders and residents welcomed the project, describing it as a major relief that will save lives and cut down travel time to distant hospitals. They commended the state government for investing in people-focused infrastructure and appealed for continuous support to ensure the hospital operates efficiently.
