Why Benue APC retained Agada, state excos – Rep Agbese

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State has decided to retain Austin Agada and other party executives for a second term, a move explained by Rep. Philip Agbese of Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency. Speaking in Abuja on Saturday, Agbese said the decision reflects loyalty, dedication, and proven performance at both state and local levels.

Agbese emphasized that the move aligns with APC’s core principle of rewarding hard work and results. “We strongly believe in recognising those who have laboured for the party and delivered results,” he stated, noting that Agada and his team demonstrated resilience and commitment during the 2023 elections.

Highlighting the leadership of Senator George Akume, Agbese said that continuity in party leadership is essential to consolidate past achievements and strengthen future electoral prospects. He added that experienced leadership ensures stability, which is key for success in upcoming contests, particularly for supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s performance in Benue State.

Agbese described the retention of party executives as a strategic step to deepen grassroots trust and reinforce the APC’s position. He also noted that the party’s current focus is on national leadership and governance, while assuring that the people of Benue understand the broader vision of the APC.
